Hit, Run, Play Now Open in Adrian

Adrian's newest business is now open to the public.    Hit, Run, Play went into operation January 1st just in time for people to make good on their resolutions for a healthier lifestyle.

Owners Chris and Becky Sams bought the former Dollar General location and started the transformation from retail space to a location for sports and personal training in early December.

From their website: "Chris and his wife Becky have dreamed of opening a sports training facility that is a gathering place for families. Moving to Adrian in the summer of 2019 opening a facility in Adrian was not on their radar until a nudge happened that made them take this leap of faith.  Becky is a school nurse and Chris is the pastor at Adrian-Passaic United Methodist Church.  Chris has been training young athletes in competitive softball for years.  the family loves the opportunity to shape and influence the community of Adrian and the surrounding area.  Our training facility will include top of the line training for softball, baseball and include golf training and a workout facility for the general public offering monthly memberships."

Hit Run Play features a strength and conditioning area, pitching and batting cages and soon, a golf cage.  Competitive and recreational teams will be able to reserve the entire training area for 2 hour blocks each week.  Monthly and yearly contracts are now available.  

Also available is personal training.   Adrian alumni, Jordan Reichert, is the certified personal trainer on staff.  Jordan has personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  

She also has her Youth Education Specialist certification from NASM as well.  The classes she will teach are circuit training, boot camp-based classes.  Using a lot of body weight exercises and intervals.  Teamwork, sweat, and fun! Jordan will be teaching her clients to hone their strength and embrace their capable and strong bodies.

Chris and Becky's main goal is not only physical health but also spiritual health.  "As a united Methodist Pastor we are building this facility because of the people what we get to  impact by creating a space for training and growing a healthier lifestyle.  Our hope is that together we inspire our communities to serve and make an impact on youth sports, individual health and strengthen peoples faith."
