Adrian School District Announces Head Football Coach



The Adrian School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Matt Davis as the Head Varsity Football Coach for the 2021-22 season.
Matt is a 2004 graduate of Cass Midway High School, he received his bachelors from Pittsburg State University in 2009, and his masters in Administration from William Woods University in 2020. Matt played football and ran track at Pittsburg State and was a member the 2004 National Runner-Up Football team. He is in his 12th year of Education, this being his 10th year at Adrian. He spent his first two years as a teacher and coach at Rich Hill High School. Matt teaches high school Math and PLTW classes at Adrian.
Matt has coached several sports at Adrian including being the Head Wrestling Coach, Assistant Track, and Assistant Basketball Coach. He has been an Assistant Football Coach at Adrian for 10 years, and has been the Offensive Coordinator for the last 7 years.
Matt lives outside of Rockville with his wife Shelley and his two children Chaz(10) and Reid(7). They live on a family farm in an old farmhouse that Matt and Shelley restored once they were married. The family enjoys being outside with their animals and any activity that keeps them busy around the farm.
