Adrian Alum honored at Arrowhead on 9/11

Adrian Alum Donald Hubbard (Class of 1988) is honored at
Arrowhead Stadium with fellow officer Chris Praschak.

September 11, 2001.  A day in our nation's history that we will never forget.  That horrific day when a reign of terror caused the loss of far too many lives.  Americans were scared, worried, angry and in despair.  But through the nightmare of it all, the heroes in emergency services and the United States military stepped up to serve and protect.  They worked tirelessly, endlessly in those hours and days following the destruction of the twin towers and the Pentagon.  Way too many firefighters, law enforcement and emergency personnel never made it home to their families.

The loss of innocent and heroic lives on that day leaves American 15 years later with a deep appreciation for those who protect and serve. At Arrowhead Stadium today before the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Diego Chargers, local heroes will be honored.  Adrian's very own Donald Hubbard, a 1988 Adrian High School graduate, will be among those honored.  Donald has served in the US military and is a dedicated police officer.  He's an all around terrific guy who is most deserving of this honor.  Hubbard and other first responders will take part in a 9/11 flag ceremony before kickoff.

Thank you, Donald, and all emergency personnel, for your service!  You are appreciated!
