Adrian Hosts 2018 Football Jamboree

The George Bruto Athletic Complex played host to the 2018 Football Jamboree.  Attending teams were Adrian. Appleton City, Archie, Butler, Drexel and Sherwood.
A Jamboree consists of six mini-games between the teams.   On the north of the field Butler, Drexel and Archie played each other.   On the south end it was Adrian, Appleton City and Sherwood.  Each team is allowed 18 offensive plays.   The score does not matter.  It is designed to get the players to use fundamentals in a game-like situations.
Often the teams do not tip their hand with offensive play calling.   Coaches are more interested in seeing that the kids are using the proper technique and to discover areas of weakness so that it can be addressed before the season starts.
If the fans in the stands want something to project how the season is going to unfold based on the jamboree it would be a safe bet to say that Adrian's defense will be extremely difficult to score on.  The Blackhawks varsity squad was very aggressive stopping about everything the teams threw their way.
The offense was very vanilla, and probably by design.  Friday look for the team to expand their playbook as they take on the Butler Bears at 7pm in Butler.
