Sweeps Week For Blackhawks Varsity Volleyball team.

The Adrian Blackhawks varsity volleyball squad broke out the brooms this week sweeping all three opponents they faced.   First, the girls hosted the Warsaw Tigers September 22nd.   Adrian won the match by the scores of 25-11 and 25-7.
"We played well tonight," said Head Coach Kelsi Robards.  "We had the opportunity to work on a few key aspects of our game as we enter a very important par of our season with several conference matches approaching."

Two days later Adrian traveled to Appleton City to face the Lady Bulldogs.  The Blackhawks faced stiffer competition the first game but the end results were the same.  Adrian won the match in two games. They beat Appleton City 25-22 in the first game before setting the cruise control the second game winning by the score of 25-9.
"This was a great win for us tonight," said Robards. "The first set was tough for us as we had several errors and couldn't get our offense going.  I'm proud of how we found a way to get the job done and get another conference win."

The Blackhawks completed the trifecta by sweeping the Lakeland Vikings 25-7 and 25-10.  Adrian has a match record of 13-2-1 with a game record of 27-8.
"I continue to applaud the girls with how well we are playing right now," said Kelsi Robards.  "This was another important win for us tonight.  It was a conference match and a good way to start our busy week of three conference matches."
