Blackhawks fall to Cole Camp Blue Birds; Fantastic Season Comes to a Close

The Adrian Blackhawks volleyball team finished their season with a heartbreaking loss to the Cole Camp Blue Birds October 21st in the semi finals of the district tournament held in Windsor.     Adrian won the first game 25-17 before losing the next two 20-25 and 14-25.    With the loss Adrian's season ended with a  25-4-1 match record.   It's not the outcome the girls and fans wanted but still a fantastic season with much to look forward to next year.
Head Coach Kelsi Wimsatt's thoughts on the game are as follows: "We played really well the first set.  We worked hard to find weaknesses in their defense and we were able to execute during the first set.   They adjusted their game the second and third sets and we weren't able to adjust ours.  We had more serving errors than ever before and we could no overcome the errors we made.  I'm beyond proud of this team and all of their accomplishments this season. They were the first team to win conference in 14 years and that was a huge feat that we worked very hard for. This is a hard-working, talented group and I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with them."
