Lady Blackhawks are WEMO Conference Tournament Champs! Defeat Drexl 52-39

The Adrian Blackhawks girls team outplayed the talented Drexel Bobcats down the stretch winning the WEMO Conference tournament in a blowout 52-39.
Drexel got into foul trouble early in the first half landing one of their starters on the bench to avoid fouling out in the first half.   Adrian took advantage of the Bobcats thin bench and drove to the rim for easy layups.   The lady Bobcats were to focused on not fouling out that, aside from being in the way, did little to stop the layups.
The Lady Blackhawks played a pretty solid team game today.   Several players had key buckets at pivotal times in the game.   Junior Lauren Shipley drained several 3-pointers in the game.  The biggest was a buzzer beater at the end of the third quarter that gave Adrian much needed cushion to their lead.     Adrian dominated the fourth quarter and brought home plaque with excited celebration.
