Adrian Boys Basketball Action December 15th--January 2nd

The varsity boys basketball team faced several really good teams in December and early part of January.   The boys played well and showed signs in each game of the team they are capable of being but fell short in all of them.   Starting with the loss at Butler Adrian suffered successive losses to ElDorado Springs 53-60, Lone Jack 58-65 and Clinton 54-57.  In the ElDorado Springs game and the Lone Jack game they started out hot and held an early lead only to lose ground, and eventually the games, in the later periods.   After the Christmas break Adrian traveled to Warrensburg to play in the Lotspeich Motors Central Missouri Shoot Out where they faced the Clinton Cardinals.    Adrian started out sluggish and were outscored in each of the first three quarters.   In the fourth quarter Adrian made a furious push to tie the game up bet fell just short losing 57-54.

12/15/20015 El Dorado Springs Bulldogs

Adrian came out really strong in this game leading 29-20 at the half.  However, the third period was a rough one as the Bulldogs doubled up there point tally by scoring 21 points to Adrian's 10.    Adrian was not able to come back in the fourth quarter.   "We started out the game with a lot of energy but didn't finish the job" said Head Coach Tyson Basore.

12/18/2015   Lone Jack Mules

Adrian led the Mules from Lone Jack 12-10 but fell a few points short in each of the last three quarters and lost by the score of 58-65.

1/2/2016   Clinton Cardinals (game played at University of Central Missouri)

After falling behind in the first three quarters of the game the Blackhawks battled back to lose by three points.  A buzzer beater by the Cardinals closed out the first half.   It was a shot that appeared to be a case of travelling but the call was not made by the refs.   Those three points ended up being the point differential in a 54-57 loss.
"We didn't shoot the ball well to start the game and got down" said Tyson Basore.  "But the guys kept playing hard and got themselves back into the game."
