Adrian Girls Rout Osceola for Courtwarming Victory

The Blackhawks girls basketball team steamrolled the Osceola Indians 53-28 for courtwarming Friday night.  The girls were firing on all cylinders and looked good on both sides of the ball.
Malory Moles played one of her better games of the year and was a physical force down low.  On one play two Osceola defenders converged on her as she was driving to the basket.   They made contact with her drawing the foul but she made the shot and sent both girls flying in the process.

Late in the game Lauren Shipley drained a couple of three-pointers to put herself over the 1000pt milestone for her high school career.  Overcome with emotion Shipley was given a standing ovation from the home crowd and a round of congratulatory hugs from her teammates.   The points came late in a game that was long since decided but by scoring them on Courtwarming allowed her to accomplish the feat on her home court in front of a gymnasium packed with Adrian Blackhawks fans and alumni.
Bailey Reed was here dependable self hitting key shots and defending well.   Sheldon Tallman harassed the Indian's with her tenacious defense.  Kerigan Wimsatt contributed to the cause getting timely rebounds despite being outsized by the Osceola players.

"We are very proud of the way our girls played" said head coach Shaun Bruto. "We plyad a well-coached Osceola team and did what we needed to do to pull off a big victory."
