The Adrian Blackhawks girls team defeated a petty good Cass Midway Viking team 57-40. Midway was fresh off a game where they gave Drexel a scare before falling to the Bobcats. Adrian was never outscored in any quarter of this game but Midway played tough the entire game.
Junior Anna Walley had one her better games against the Vikings. Anna scored 12 points and hauled in a staggering 16 rebounds in the game. Walley managed to do this while going up against a very talented Adia Eberle. Eberle was tall, could jump and played excellent defense making Anna's accomplishment during the game even more impressive.
"We did a much better job of taking the ball to the basket and had one of our better rebounding games" said head coach Shawn Bruto.
Adrian improved to 17-2 on the year and a spotless 4-0 in conference. Adrian's next game would be at the Appleton City Bulldogs.
