In a game reminiscent of the Osceola game the Adrian Blackhawks got up big on the #1 seed Rich Hill Tigers in the second round of the Archie Tournament. Adrian led 25-18 after a high scoring first quarter. The Tigers battled back and took the lead just before the half. The teams played even in the third quarter. The fourth quarter, however, was all Rich Hill. The Blackhawks were forced to foul late in the game allowing the Tigers to extend the winning margin to ten points.
"The kids played really well and with a lot of emotion" said head coach Tyson Basore. "We just need to make a couple of more plays".
With the loss Adrian was up with the Butler Bears for third place.
