It is with great admiration, respect and gratitude that this week will be a tribute to Adrian R-III teachers and staff. The first week of May has been declared as National Teacher Appreciation Week. Every day a post will be made to this blog in honor of the amazing people who create a positive educational environment in our school district, from certified and non-certified staff to bus drivers, custodians and many more. Every single person deserves recognition for making successful learning possible for all Blackhawks, ages pre-K to high school.

An excerpt from a Presidential Proclamation...
I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim May 3, 2016, as National Teacher Appreciation Day and May 1 through May 7, 2016, as National Teacher Appreciation Week. I call upon students, parents, and all Americans to recognize the hard work and dedication of our Nation's teachers and to observe this day and this week by supporting teachers through appropriate activities, events, and programs.
