Saturday August 27th the Adrian Blackhawks volleyball team traveled to Holden to play in the Holden Tournament. Adrian was among the smallest schools to participate in the tournament. Adrian dominated their opponents in pool play before falling to the Oak Grove Panthers in a marathon second set 35-33.
"This is always a great tournament for us to attend" said Head Coach Kelsi Robards. "We are able to see a wide variety of teams and there's always a lot of competition here. We played really well during pool play. Going into bracket play against Oak Grove, we knew it was going to be the toughest game we would see up to that point in the tournament. We weren't ready the first set. We made a lot of costly errors and could never put anything together. The second set was a battle but we simply weren't able to finish it. Overall, I'm happy with our performance and we know what we need to accomplish moving forward."
