The Blackhawks varsity volleyball team traveled to Holden Saturday to play in the Holden Tournament. Facing much larger schools the ladies emerged victorious bringing home the championship!
In pool play Adrian swept Skyline and split with Lexington and Fort Osage. In the first round of bracket play the Blackhawks beat Oak Grove in three sets. Adrian then defeated Booneville in the semi-finals to move on to a championship game matchup with the host Lady Eagles. Adrian swept both teams for the title.
The Lady Blackhawks played some stiff competition Thursday evening when the traveled to Kansas City to take on Notre Dame De Sion. It was a rough night for the ladies as they fell in straight sets but playing such a strong team helped them raise their level of play. The girls showed great poise to came back and defeat the field.
