Saturday August 12th from 8-noon the Bates County Community will have the opportunity to help one of their own. A boot block will be set up to benefit the family of Beverly Ward.
Beverly is a 39 year old mother to a 12 year old girl and wife of Mike Ward From Amsterdam. They live in Spruce and their daughter attends school at Ballard.
Beverly has colorectal and liver cancer. She just had surgery and will start chemotherapy in two weeks. The family has medical insurance but are off work and need assistance with bills and other extras.
Volunteers are needed for the boot block. Volunteers will meet at Passaic at 8am. Right now there is a Passaic Team and an Adrian Team. More teams can be added as more volunteers step up.
Back to school expenses are around the corner as well as every-day bills. Please come out to help and support the boot block. Every penny given will help the Ward family as Beverly fights this battle.
