Olivia Bagby selected to Area VII FFA Office

as the Area VII FFA Treasurer for the 2018-2019 school year!

Sophomore Olivia Bagby is a loyal member and officer in Adrian FFA.  Recently she received quite an honor in FFA!  Olivia was selected to serve as the 2018-2019 Area VII FFA Treasurer!  Adrian FFA Sponsor and Ag Teacher Ethan Romi is so proud!  "Olivia set a goal for herself last year to run for Area Office.  She has been pushing herself all year and trying new things to get out of her comfort zone to prepare for this.  I'm very proud of her effort and being selected as an Area officer, especially in an office that is so important to the area."

Beginning at the age of 8, has been a member of 4H.  She has been showing swine since she was 13 years old.  Upon entering high school, Olivia has been enrolled in Ag classes and joined Adrian FFA.  This is her second year.

As a sophomore, Olivia has already had great success in FFA competitions, including:  Star Greenhand (freshman year); 1st place in three prepared public speaking contests (sophomore year); and she made it to FFA Districts both years.  Olivia shared what she likes the most about Adrian FFA.  She said, "What I like best about Adrian FFA is all of the opportunities it provides students to be successful."

For showing swine, Olivia has received the following awards:  Grand or Reserve Champion at 12 Jackpot shows; and Reserve Grand Champion Berkshire Gilt at the Missouri State Fair this past summer.

As she heads into her Junior year, new and exciting things will be on Olivia's radar, including her role as the 2018-2019 Area VII FFA Treasurer.  She said, "I expect to have a lot of fun and learn alot from this new experience."
