The Bates County Mizzou Club held its annual student send off at the Adrian Optimist Club Thursday evening. A rather large crowd was in attendance to wish the students well and to listen to MU athletic director, Jim Sterk speak.
The night started off with a social hour which led into dinner provided by Butthead BBQ. Two scholarships were given out as well as many raffle prizes. The True Tiger award was presented to Gabe and Allison Davis.
A "Bates County Bingo" game was played with the winner getting a very nice hand-crafted table and stools. The night concluded with an auction of Mizzou items. Proceeds go to the endowment fund that pays out numerous yearly scholarships.
