Big Crowd Witnesses a Big Homecoming Victory for the Blackhawks

Homecoming week can be a distraction for teams and create closer ballgames than once predicted or even leave the team open to an upset.  The Adrian Blackhawks would not have any of that last Friday.  They defeated the Appleton City Bulldogs 47-0 bringing an end to homecoming week activities.
Adrian won the toss, deferred to the second half and kicked off to the Bulldogs.   Their drive was not a long one and Adrian soon had possession.   A controlled running game drove the ball down the field to paydirt.  The Blackhawks never looked back and never took their foot off the throttle until the turbo clock kicked started in the third quarter.
During halftime Seniors Paige Parks and Brady Talley were crowned Homecoming Queen and King. After the half the junior varsity team got to see extensive playtime.   But that didn't mean the scoring was over.  The junior varsity offense still scored a couple touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Adrian travels to Rich Hill to take on the Tigers.  Adrian is expected to win the ball game but the Tigers would like for nothing more than to beat the Blackhawks.   The team needs to stay focused to keep that from happening.

Coaches Comments:
We had a good team win this week. All of the boys were able to get in and contribute to this win. It was also great to see the complex packed for the homecoming game.
