Adrian's 2018 volleyball season started off on a sour note with straight set losses to Clinton before rebounding with straight set victories against Crest Ridge. Sandwiched in between was an impressive showing in the Holden Volleyball Invitational. In the Holden Invitational the ladies defeated Sherwood, Skyline then Oak Grove before falling to KC Lutheran. They rebounded taking two of three from Harrisonville to finish the weekend 4-1.
Their overall record is 1-1 after the victory over Crest Ridge. In that game Emma Lincoln led the team with 21 service points. Elise Reynolds led the team with 17 assists. "The team is really coming together now. After the 3rd place finish at Holden our girls have been given some confidence. We are using a new rotation which is helping in the team's success" said interim head coach Sarah Jones.
Next up for the volleyball team is a road game at Sherwood High School on Thursday Sept 6th.
