Roll Tide, Garrett Hester!

Garrett Hester, former Blackhawk, signs with the University of Alabama to play baseball.

Former Blackhawk Garrett Hester will be playing baseball for the University of Alabama next fall!  In his senior year at Pasco High School in Dade City, Florida, Garrett's enthusiasm for the future is growing.  Just last week he signed with Alabama to play collegiate baseball.

Garrett's introduction to playing the game he loves began in Adrian.  He played t-ball and baseball for the Blackhawks until the Hester family moved to Florida his 4th grade year.  Since then Garrett has continued to play baseball whenever possible.  And now, here he is, ready to take on a whole new level of baseball.  Garrett said, "It is a blessing to get an opportunity to play for the University of Alabama."
Jim and Jeri Hester are proud parents!  In talking with Jeri, Adrian Class of 1992, her face lit up as she was sharing about Garrett's signing and what's ahead for her son.  She said, "We are very proud of Garrett. He has worked hard to accomplish the success to play for a school like Alabama. We look forward to the future and where it will take Garrett in college."
Jim shared similar sentiments.  "Very proud of Garrett. His dedication and work ethic on the baseball field has been second to none. We are blessed that he has been given a chance to further his education and continue to play the game he loves competing against the highest level of talent in the college ranks."

CONGRATULATIONS, GARRETT!
WE'RE ALL PROUD IN ADRIAN AND CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH YOU PLAY!
ROLL TIDE!
