The variety of playground equipment at Adrian's city park is growing this week thanks to the Adrian Lion's club. The swing set will stay but several older, outdated and toys in need of repair have been removed. Per Joey Bailey, club president, two age groups will benefit from the equipment. Children under five will have some slides and other rides to play on designed especially for them by the shelter house. Older kids will some of their own installed between the hedge tree and oak tree north of the walking trail.
The playground equipment is currently being installed by Ozark Mountain Installations, Inc out of Monett, MO. All work is hoped to be completed by this weekend. It is not currently known if they new playground will be open for use this weekend.
