Payton Ritter takes the stage!

Payton Ritter, AHS Class of 2018, takes the stage for her first modeling experience with KC Perfect Wedding Guide.  What a cool experience!  Way to go, Payton!

Graduation from Adrian High School brings about the first step in the next phase of life for graduates. Payton Ritter, daughter of Steven and Lori Ritter, hit the ground running when she graduated from AHS with the Class of 2018.  She has completed her first semester at the University of Missouri with high grades that earned her a spot on the Dean's List!  Payton went through Rush Week and was thrilled to be accepted into Tri-Delta, a Mizzou sorority.  Christmas break has given her quality family time and an opportunity to reconnect with local friends.  But that's not all!  In her first year of college, Payton has begun modeling for KC Perfect Wedding Guide!

Payton's modeling career came to life at a reception during the summer with the Bates County Mizzou Club, where she was presented with an endowment scholarship.  A person in attendance connected her to KC Perfect Wedding Guide and from there, modeling became a reality!  On January 6, 2019, Payton took the stage at the Kansas City Convention Center for her first ever wedding show.  She said, "It's a great opportunity and I've been wanting to this for awhile now so I couldn't pass it up!"
True to her nature, Payton stepped up to the new experience with poise and confidence.  She said, "I'm a little nervous because it's a very prestigious job, but I'm going to have fun with it."  Payton did, in fact, have fun, at her first show.  She said, "Of course I liked walking (on stage), but I liked meeting the other models and listening to their experiences.  There's alot more opportunity to model in KC than I ever thought."  Payton will be modeling during KC Fashion Week in March.  During spring break, she plans to take part in several open calls to see what else is out there.  This summer, Payton hopes to do a summer intern with KC Perfect Wedding Guide.
Lori, Payton's Mom, has been solid through anything she has taken on through the years.  She was an active dance mom for seven years, and assisted her through numerous dance competitions and performances.  Payton played competitive softball for seven years and four years for the Lady Blackhawks.  Lori was right there, cheering her on and being there for Payton the whole time.  From Junior High through her senior year, Payton cheered for the Blackhawks.  Lori committed herself fully to Payton as an AHS Cheer Mom.  When asked if she would like to offer a special thanks for her modeling opportunities, Payton said, "My mother, of course, for always supporting me!"
It's always great to see one of our Blackhawks branching out and trying new things.  Best of luck, Payton!  We're looking forward to seeing what's next for you, and we're so proud!
