Blackhawks Volleyball Gatorade Game Played

The Adrian Blackhawks volleyball team held its annual Gatorade game Tuesday, August 25th. The final tuneup before the season starts allowed the girls to take what they've been practicing and applying it to a game situation.

"The Gatorade Game went well." Said Head Coach Kelsi Robards. "It's tough to pinpoint areas we need to work on from the scrimmage because there are few similarities to a true match. We had a good turnout and the girls had fun taking a break from practice and getting the chance to play. We are still working out a few kinks in our defense but things are progressing nicely."

Adrian travels to Holden to play in the Holden Fall Fiesta Invitational volleyball tournament. "The Holden Tournament will be a true test for us as we see some very tough teams" added Robards. "The rest of this week we will focus on a smoother transition from defense to offense, serve receive and executing a quicker offense than we are used to running."
