Closing in on halftime and the Adrian Blackhawks trailed the Midway Vikings 13-7 with 2:40 on the clock.
Midway scored first with 6:46 on the clock in the first quarter. Almost exactly one quarter later the Vikings added their second touchdown on the night with 6:36 to go before the half. The Blackhawks were able to answer that few minutes later on a 49 yard Gage Steen to Hunter Harris touchdown pass play. Harris found paydirt and Adam Cochran split the uprights to make it a one score game.
Steen returned an interception for a touchdown with 5:36 remaining in the third quarter. Cochran was successful on another extra point.
