The Adrian boys team let a big lead slip away in the semifinal round of the 30th Annual Midway Tournament allowing the Archie Whirlwinds to hit a game tying shot as time expired. The Whirlwinds then pulled away 76-70 in overtime for the first major upset of the tournament.
Adrian led throughout most of the game but made enough errors to keep Archie in the contest. The Whirlwinds took advantage of the mistakes to gain confidence and momentum then ultimately the game.

It was a tough game to swallow for the players and fans but it's all part of what makes basketball so exciting. The Blackhawks can still take home third place by winning on Saturday at 4pm.
