The Adrian Blackhawks varsity boys team avenged an early season loss to and took out frustrations on the Lone Jack Mules to take third place in the 30th annual Midway Tournament.
It was very impressive to see Adrian come out determined to shake off being upset by the fourth seed Archie Whirlwinds on Thursday night. The Blackhawks got a big lead early and applied pressure the entire game winning by a score of 74-40. The 34 point blowout victory is in stark contrast to the game Adrian had lost to Lone Jack by seven points earlier in the season.
The Adrian Blackhawks are a team that has improved so much over the year and matured greatly between Thursday night's loss and today's victory. Kudos to the coaches and players for coming out and making a statement. Let's hope they build off this momentum as they close out the WEMO schedule beginning next Tuesday at Drexel.
