The basketball contest between the Adrian Blackhawks and Drexel Bobcats was over soon after it started tonight. Two previous times the teams played this year Adrian pulled out wins late against the Bobcats. In the Archie Tournament Drexel took the Blackhawks to over time before falling 80-73.
Tonight, well, it was another story. Adrian embarrassed the Bobcats 68-44. Adrian dominated from early in the first quarter and never looked back. Drexel was determined to limit the three point shooting of Trenton Tallman, Gage Steen and Hunter Steen. This left the lane open for Logan Harris to slice and dice his way to the basket all night long.
A hard foul late in the game was proof of the frustration Drexel was feeling. Hunter Harris made both free throws even though the game was long since decided.
Adrian moves on to Rich Hill this Friday to take on the best team in the WEMO conference. Adrian gave the Rich Hill a run for their money in the Archie Tournament but still lost by ten points. It will take their best effort of the year to tame the Tigers.
