Blackhawks Win Double OT Thriller over Drexel to Open the 86th Annual Archie Tournament

"We have to learn how to finish games."  That was the words used by Tyson Basore to describe the recent heartbreaking loss the Osceola Indians.   It is a phrase that could be used by the Drexel Bobcats coach after Adrian rallied from a 14 point deficit to defeat the Bobcats in double overtime 80-73 in the first round of the 86th Annual Archie tournament.  It can also be used to describe Blackhawks ability to put the game away late in the extra period.
"The boys showed a lot of drive after getting down early" said Basore.  Adrian trailed 16-8 after the first period and 37-23 at the half.  Adrian showed little life in the first half of play and had given no indication that the could muster a comeback once play resumed.

The third quarter was all Blackhawks.  Offensively they put up 15 points while their defense held Drexel to just six points.   The fourth quarter brought even more domination by Adrian when they hung up 18 points while Drexel could only match their output from the third quarter.
The Blackhawks defense was so good that the Bobcats scored just 12 points in the entire second half after hanging three times the amount in the first half of play.
Overtime brought out a burst of scoring by both teams.  Drexel started hitting key three pointers but could not match the out put of Adrian.  The Blackhawks ended up stretching their lead and winning by seven points.
