Adrian TSA wins big!

Last week Adrian High School and Middle School TSA attended their regional conference and competition. According to Advisor Matt Seras, this competition acts as a warm up to the state competition in April, and gives students the opportunity to meet and socialize with students from other southeast Missouri TSA chapters. The Blackhawks came home with 29 medals and eight first place trophies!  Way to go, HS and MS TSA!!

Seventeen AHS students competed as individuals and in teams in seven different events. The Blackhawks brought home six first place trophies in these events: chapter team, debate, music production, extemporaneous speech and problem solving. Adrian placed 2nd in technology bowl. Senior Sarah Geringer said, "I liked competing in the on-sight events because it was exciting not knowing what to expect."

Five Adrian Middle School students competed in four different events. AMS scored first in leadership team challenge and problem solving. They also placed 2nd in prepared speech and 4th in technology bowl.  MS Teacher Stacey Evans said, "This was a great first experience for the MS students!"
The Blackhawks will compete at TSA State in Rolla in April.
