Local Student Organizes Fundraiser for Tornado Stricken Goodman, MO

Adrian R-3 junior Robert Reese has started a local fundraiser/school materials drive for Goodman, Missouri, which was hit by a tornado April 4th.  Goodman Elementary suffered significant damage.  On its Facebook page the school district confirmed that a custodian was in the elementary school when it was hit, but took cover and was not injured.

Goodman is about half way between Joplin and Bella Vista, Arkansas.  The National Weather Service in Springfield confirmed that an EF-2 tornado hit the town and stayed on the ground for about 15 minutes.

The school district would appreciate if the materials donated were in new condition.  They would also like board games and outside games for little kids.   Below there is a list of specific materials and school supplies the school said they know they will need.

Anyone interested in donating can simply send the materials to the school with their child.  There is a donation box outside of the high school office.  If anyone has any questions they can email  robert.reese@students.adrian.k12.mo.us

They will stop taking donations on April 28th,
