State Rep Pike and Secretary of State Ashcroft visit Adrian

The Adrian Community Library and Lily's Place Women's Shelter welcomed a couple of special visitors today.   Missouri State Rep for the 16th District, Patricia Pike and Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft toured both facilities while in Bates County to visit a couple spots in Butler.

After speaking at the Butler Senior Center, Secretary Ashcroft toured Adrian learning more about the Adrian Community Library and visiting with Lily's Place Women's Shelter Board Members and Volunteers." - Patricia Pike's Facebook page.
Lily's House board members were very excited to share their vision for the facility.  Ashcroft and Pike were both very supportive and offered words of encouragement in getting the shelter operational.  They both want to come back after the shelter is open.   The board was invited to Jefferson City, which they are going to schedule per Sara Vick, one of the five founders and Lily's House executive director.  "We are also looking forward to a possible visit in the near future from Governor Eric Greitens' wife, Sheena"
Lily's House mission is to provide temporary and emergency housing to women and their children in Bates County and the surrounding area and to assist these women and children get emergency care, counseling, services, and safe housing to move into or to make their home safe to return to.
