Adrian Alumni Jordan Reichert to Perform in Macy's Day Parade Opening Number

Hey, Blackhawks!  BIG NEWS!

Turn on your TV’s to NBC just before 9am on Thanksgiving!  You don’t want to miss Adrian alum Jordan Reichert, who will be dancing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Jordan has been a dancer since a very young age.  She pursued a college degree in dance and has been auditioning and dancing professionally in New York since graduation.  One of these days we will be writing a story about a Rockette from Adrian!

After a highly competitive audition process, Jordan was one of 100 dancers selected to perform in the first ever Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade opening number. Jordan said it was choreographed by Tabitha & Napoleon D’umo (or “NappyTabs”), famous for their work on the show “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Jordan shared some specifics about her experience so far:  “I have known for a couple weeks, but have had to keep everything quiet to keep the opening dance number a surprise. We spent all day Tuesday rehearsing and at 7PM, the NYPD shut down 34th Street for us to have a dress rehearsal and practice our staging for the camera.”  She added, “Our dance number will be introduced with a video including cameos by Harry Connick Jr, Martha Stewart, Whoopi Goldberg, and other celebrities.

Jordan’s day begins at 7am tomorrow with one more dress rehearsals and then the live performance right in front of Macy’s!  She said, “I’ll be dancing on the left side of the TV.”

TUNE IN, BLACKHAWKS!  ONE OF OUR OWN WILL BE SHINING BRIGHT!
