Blackhawks Football Awards & Recognition

The WEMO Conference champions gathered together one last time this season at the football banquet held on November 21, 2017.  Head Coach Matt Cochran reflected on the season and shared  highlights of a young team with one regular season loss, a conference win, an appearance in the district championship game, each player's personal accomplishments and a host of individual post-season honors. Assistant Coaches Matt Davis and Caleb Noland talked about the successes on offense and defense.

Players were presented with JV/Varsity certificates, letters and WEMO champs medals.  Team Managers Amina Scaletty and Tony Scaletty were honored, along with Videographer Robert Reese, a senior who has taken video for the Blackhawks all four years of high school.  Several players were given special awards, including:  Best Lineman, Anson Johnson; Best Linebacker and Hit Stick, James Keating; Best Back, Hunter Steen; Most Hustle, Dakota Harris; Most Improved, Denton Cunningham; MVP, Nicholas Preston.
