Twenty-six Blackhawks came home with two chapter awards, one collegiate award, $1500 in scholarships, 16 finalists, six 3rd place finishes, two 2nd place finishes, three state championships, one SW Regional Vice President and one State President (Robert Reece).  One high school and two middle school teams are state champions!!!

Blackhawks baseball wins Districts!

The Blackhawks are headed to the Quarterfinals with a comeback win in the Sectionals round of Class 1 baseball!

The AHS baseball team makes school history with the first ever appearance in the Quarterfinals.  They fell short of the win but oh baby what a game!

Nationals bound in Orlando for T.E.A.M.S and TSA, but first...a stop to visit Elvis!

 The 2002 State Football Championship Team was recognized at the George Bruto Athletic Complex.

5th Grade Science Teacher Treva Smith's students are studying schoolyard ecosystems.  Mrs. Smith is implementing the Department of Conservation Unleashed Program, which is mostly a hands-on curriculum.

The Blackhawks Marching Band competed in the 57th Annual Black Walnut Festival.  Out of 10 bands, the Blackhawks placed third!  Congrats to these young, hard-working kids!

Ashlee Burris, senior, has been selected as the Adrian Optimist Student of the Month for December.  Ashlee is active in various school activities, including:  Cheerleading, Student Council (President), FCCLA (President), National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Varsity Scholar Bowl, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Officer) and Skills USA.  Outside of school, Ashlee is active in the Adrian Christian Church.  She will be attending the University of Central Missouri next fall and plans to major in Nursing and a minor in Missionary Work.  Pictured with Ashlee is Assistant Principal Jeanette Baker and Adrian Optimist Member J L Jennings.
