Anchors Aweigh!

Josh Collins, Class of 2018, leaves June 3, 2018 to serve in the United States Navy.  He was recognized by the Navy during the senior awards program just prior to graduation.

The Adrian Class of 2018 will spread their wings and pursue careers suited to their interests and skills.  These Adrian Alum will become future teachers, mechanics, nurses, musicians, veterinarians, construction workers, architects and maybe even a politician plus a wide-array of other professions.  One graduate has enlisted in the United States Navy and is set to leave Adrian on Sunday, June 3, 2018.  Before leaving, Josh Collins shared his singing talent at the Relay for Life Event in Butler on his last night in Bates County, with his family and friends present.

Josh's Dad, Bob Collins, was also a member of the United States Navy. A host of Blackhawks are serving/have served in the United States military as well.  Just a few of the many include:  Donald Hubbard, Mark Durbin, Jeff Griffith, Shealey Mead, Travis Self, Stan Moore, Joe Ford and Dave Hubbard.

Adrian R-III Teacher and Head Football/Track Coach Matt Cochran has seen Josh grow up from elementary school to his last day of high school.  Cochran said, "Josh is a great kid and will make an outstanding serviceman.  He's always been a hard worker which will help him in the military.  I expect him to be very successful.  I wish him good luck and thank him for his service."

Your service is appreciated, Josh!  We will be praying for you and wish you the very best!
