Blackhawks take the Central Methodist field!

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?????? The Blackhawks are back on the field! A group of Blackhawks and coaches traveled to Central Methodist University (CMU) in Fayette, MO for an intense, 2-day football camp.

Head Coach Matt Cochran said this is the first time the Blackhawks have attended the CMU camp. "We weren’t sure how many kids to bring so we asked our varsity kids and what we think might be our varsity subs to go. We had several varsity kids that couldn’t go because of prior commitments," Cochran said. "It was a great experience for the kids, but in hindsight, we should have asked more kids to go. Most teams had about 25-30 kids, and we had 16."

Adrian played about 10 jamboree style games against teams such as: California, Westran, El Dorado, Sedalia Smith-Cotton, Harrisburg, Wellington and Marionville. Cochran said, "We held our own against every team we played. I was happy with the kids' effort. They were exhausted when we finished Saturday, but they got great experience that you can’t simulate in practice."

What a great way to kick of the 2018 season! Good job, boys!
